GLOBAL WARMING . . .. it is now a reality

Many of us around the world are very much concerned about this rather disturbing and serious trend. At first, I personally thought it might have been somewhat exaggerated but after much review of scientific research, I feel strongly about the protection of our fragile planet Earth. Most of the leading scientific organizations in the world acknowledge the existence of GLOBAL WARMING and that it is not a natural occurrence.

Whether you call it climate change or GLOBAL WARMING . . IT IS HAPPENING. Scientists say that we are already experiencing impact, and they are likely to increase. The impacts include the effects of extreme weather events such as floods, droughts, heat waves, ice storms, hurricanes, but also increased threats from infectious diseases and armed conflict. Scientists have documented the rise in average temperatures worldwide since the late 1800’s.

Recognizing that there is little doubt that human activity. . .largely through the release of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the use of fossil fuels is responsible for the current pace of GLOBAL WARMING.

Motivated to express my genuine concerns, I decided to creatively render my interpretation and representation in my image of the gradual heating of the Earth’s surface oceans and atmosphere.
