Celebrating the modernity of creative contemporary and traditional art through online art competition
Yael Maimon was born in Israel in 1980. Drawing and painting since forever, Yael decided to be fully committed to her art in her early twenties. In 2003 she graduated from Bar Ilan University with a first degree B.A. in Psychology. Her art education includes studying with the oil painter Amnon David Ar in Israel and attending several workshops in Europe.
Yael enjoys painting in a variety of media including oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. In addition to her known Cats series, Yael is also working on a magical figurative series called Once Upon a Time and a still-life Pastry series. Although grounded in realism, Yael’s paintings are often impressionist in nature, traditional yet contemporary. Her artwork was featured in solo and collective art exhibitions in Israel, gained international recognition and has been bought by private collectors.
Yael Maimon was featured in a variety of magazines, such as International Artist Magazine, Artist’s Magazine, Pastel Journal, Pratique des Arts, The Art of Watercolor, Watercolor Artist and Southwest Art Magazine
